The Marantego L Coffee Table from the Melt Collection is a striking expression of contemporary Italian craftsmanship, where sculptural form meets refined materiality.
Its handcrafted top is created from two layers of baked glass with organically irregular edges, finished in a sophisticated degradé effect that transitions from rich bronze tones to crystal transparency. Partial silvering on the reverse adds depth, luminosity, and a subtle reflective character that changes beautifully with the surrounding light. Supporting the piece is a sleek iron sheet structure finished in polished nickel, providing a clean architectural contrast to the fluid artistry of the glass. Born in Venice, Italy in 1972, Leo De Carlo graduated in Industrial Design from Politecnico di Milano in 1998.After working as Senior Designer at Philippe Starck Agency in Paris from 1999 to 2003, in 2003 he returned to Venice, where he started his own studio. Leo De Carlo currently lives and works between Venice and Milan.
